FALL QUARTER – September 1 to November 30
12 lessons, Payable on September 1st, or in 3 monthly installments on 9/1, 10/1, and 11/1. There are 13 weeks in the quarter. Your tuition pays for 12 lessons; therefore, no make-up lesson will be scheduled if a lesson is canceled because of a holiday, recital, illness, or vacation. NOTE: If 13 lessons are attended in any quarter, you will be charged for 1 additional lesson.
WINTER QUARTER – December 1 to March 1
12 lessons Payable on December 1st, or in 3 monthly installments on 12/1, 1/1, and 2/1
12/24 and 12/25: Closed for Christmas holiday

SPRING QUARTER – March 2 to May 31
12 lessons Payable on March 2nd, or in 3 monthly installments on 3/1, 4/1, and 5/1
There are 13 weeks in this quarter. Your tuition pays for 12 lessons; therefore, no make-up lesson will be scheduled if a lesson is canceled because of a holiday, illness, or vacation. NOTE: If 13 lessons are attended in any quarter, you will be charged for 1 additional lesson.
SUMMER QUARTER – June 1 to August 31
12 lessons Payable on June 1st, or in 3 monthly installments on 6/1, 7/1, and 8/1
7/4/25: Closed for 4th of July holiday.
If at the end of the Summer Quarter less than 12 lessons are attended, your account will be credited accordingly towards Fall Quarter tuition. There is no limit to the number of rescheduled lessons during the Summer Quarter. However, lessons canceled or unattended without 24 hours’ notice are forfeited.
*Please note: A recital fee of $75 per performer will be charged to your account if your student(s) attends a recital during the 2024-2025 Program. Each student is limited to ONE recital per year. What the recital fee covers: Recital hall reservation fee, piano tuning, trophies, printed program, additional time required by teachers for planning and organizing events.
STUDIO POLICIES
Receiving emails: Apple Valley Piano and Guitar Academy’s communication to our community of 100+ members is primarily via email from info@AVPianoAcademy.com AND info@AVGuitarAcademy.com. Please ensure you are receiving these emails.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE
Each member will be charged one annual membership/registration fee of $55 per student on the anniversary of the first lesson. This covers all 3 School Year quarters and Summer Quarter.
FRAGRANCE FREE STUDIO
Please do not wear perfume/cologne/highly scented lotions on the day of your student’s lessons. Please inform any guests (relatives) attending the lessons of this policy.
MAKE-UP LESSON AND ABSENCE POLICIES
Illness: Please DO NOT attend a lesson if you, your student, or anyone accompanying you is exhibiting symptoms (sniffling, sneezing, cough, fever, etc.). If the student feels well enough, we offer online lessons (see ONLINE LESSON instructions below).
Extended absences (3 or more lessons canceled for planned vacation): Your account will not be charged tuition for those dates. However, a $50 hold fee will be added.
Arriving after your scheduled lesson time: We understand that occasionally arriving late is out of your control. However, the lesson will not be extended past the scheduled ending time.
Inclement weather: Lessons can be conducted online when weather conditions may cause driving difficulty. (see ONLINE LESSON instructions below)
Lessons canceled without 24 hours’ notice are forfeited.
Lessons canceled by your teacher will be rescheduled.
ONLINE LESSON REQUIREMENTS
Members will occasionally require an online lesson for reasons of illness, inclement weather, transportation issues, schedule conflicts, etc. We prefer Facetime. To ensure an effective lesson, we suggest members provide the following:
1. Current device: iPad or iPhone, with fast internet/wi-fi connection
2. Tripod to stabilize the image
3. Quiet environment: remove distractions such as dogs, kitchen noise, TV, etc.
